Swordstone is produced through a process of sintering. Sintering is a manufacturing process that mimics the natural process of metamorphism. When tectonic plates come together or slide past each other in the earth's crust , immense pressure and heat is generated. The pressure and heat from this process causes the rocks in the Earth's crust to recrystallize, and change composition, resulting in the formation of new layers of rock and stone in the earth. Sintering involves compressing and heating a combination of fine inorganic particles, which causes the particles to fuse together and form a solid dense slab. The final product is Sintered Stone slabs, a dense non-porous man made stone with properties that are very unique and superior to any other engineered stone. Read More
